Camping is big fun in the delta area. In the summer, it gets really hot in the day time, making it perfect for water activities, but at night the temperature can really drop when the winds pick up. You're likely to find an enormous amount of dew on the outside of your tent as well, so don't sleep too close to the sides!
There are also lots of
great places to park your camping trailer, RV or even rent a cabin at a

State Parks
Brannan Island State Park - Nice state-owned facility located on Threemile
Slough with great camping areas, picnic areas, swimming areas, canoeing and
a big launching and staging/parking area for the many boaters who take
advantage of this great state park.
Franks Tract - only accessible by water and is located southeast of
Brannan Island between False River and Bethel Island. This is NOT a place to
camp, unless maybe you are anchored off of it. Great area to fish!
